Having said that, if these scenarios don’t apply to you, then just use page 4 to create your own. And even if you manage to get through all three, then we’d still encourage you to continue with this game and try again and again, using that final page.\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>Whichever story (or page) you decide to go with – hand over the piece of paper to the person in the group who wants to go first. They will have 60 seconds to read the initial problem, come up with a solution and finish the sentence with another problem, in order to enable the story to continue. So say if the problem I’m presented with is something as simple as “I walk into the office and all of the pens I left on my desk last night have disappeared”. As Participant 1, I may choose to continue my story with: “So I head over to the stationery cupboard to look for a new one, but lo and behold, that has been completely emptied out too!”. You see how the first part of the sentence offers an idea for how I might deal with the original problem, but then presents another one?\u003C\u002Fp>\u003Cp>Once the 60 seconds are up for participant 1, they must fold down the piece of paper, so the initial part they saw is no longer visible. They pass the handout on to Participant 2 who can now only see Participant 1’s writing. And based on the information available to them, they may add something like “so I call up our Office Supplies Manager, Katie, who tells me to come by her desk, but on the way to her I see a member of staff who’s in distress”. Now Participant 2, folds down the paper again to hide the response of Participant 1, leaving only their own contribution visible.
